Children of rural families in Peru face a unique challenge going to school. The government pays for schools and teachers but not for books and pencils. Without adequate school supplies, children can't get the most out of their education.

It takes a plot of land 10 feet square (10 sq. m) and 6 months to grow enough potatoes to buy one notebook or two pens. Cash from the sale of produce at market is prioritized for essentials like cooking oil or fuel. There's often no money left to buy school supplies.

Access to education provides new possibilities for the future and many ways to enrich a child's life. Our solution is simple: we give children the school supplies they need to get the education they deserve.

We deliver hope and opportunity in every satchel full of school supplies, to children in the Cusco and Sacred Valley areas of Peru.
